Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a General Production Specialist for our Saint Marys, PA facility. This contract-to-hire role supports a powder metallurgy and NDT lab, ensuring products meet quality standards on the production floor.

Shift options are Mon–Fri: 7a–3p ($12.50/hr) or 3p–11p ($13.50/hr). You will load/unload machines, perform visual inspections, document findings, and collaborate to maintain safe, organized operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in production or general manufacturing environments.
• Proven ability to perform accurate visual inspection of products.
• Ability to operate basic production and machine operation equipment.
• Experience using hand tools in a production or assembly setting.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality inspection.
• Reliable attendance and consistency in working scheduled shifts.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and document findings clearly.

• Perform thorough visual inspections of products to identify defects, damage, or irregularities.
• Accurately document and take notes on products that show damage or quality concerns.
• Package orders carefully to meet quality and customer requirements.
• Work in different production departments as needed to support overall workflow and production goals.
• Handle and work with both small and large parts while maintaining accuracy and safety.
• Operate production and manufacturing equipment and machines as directed.
• Use basic hand tools to complete assigned production and assembly tasks.
• Follow quality inspection standards to ensure products meet required specifications.
• Maintain attention to detail throughout all stages of production and inspection.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Collaborate with team members and follow instructions from supervisors to meet daily production targets.

This role supports a material testing and laboratory services facility that specializes in powdered metal testing, nondestructive testing (NDT), failure analysis, and metallurgy. As a General Production Worker, you will work on the production floor to ensure products meet quality standards, support various stages of production, and help maintain an efficient, well-organized, and clean environment.

Pay Rate & Shift (Mon.-Fri.)

• (7a-3p) $12.50/hr
• (3p-11p) $13.50/hr

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Marys, PA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $12.50 - $13.50/hr.
