Aerotek is hiring a General Production Worker / Forklift Operator for a contract-to-hire role in Ellijay, GA. You will operate a sit-down forklift, support material handling, and assist with production and assembly to keep lines running smoothly.
The position is onsite in Ellijay, GA, with weekly pay and benefits. Overtime opportunities and hands-on skill development are available in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

This role involves operating a sit-down forklift and performing a variety of production, assembly, and general labor tasks in a manufacturing environment. You will support material handling, packing, and machine operation to keep production running smoothly and safely.
Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished products throughout the manufacturing facility.
Handle materials efficiently, including loading, unloading, stacking, and staging products in designated areas.
Support production lines by supplying materials and removing completed products as needed.
Perform basic assembly and production tasks according to established procedures and quality standards.
Assist with machine operating activities, such as feeding materials into machines and monitoring basic machine functions.
Carry out general labor duties, including packing, labeling, and preparing products for shipment.
Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area.
Use mechanical aptitude to identify simple issues with equipment or materials and report them promptly.
Accurately follow instructions from supervisors and collaborate with team members to meet production goals.
Participate in inventory-related activities, such as moving and organizing stock, as directed.
Experience operating a sit-down forklift in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand basic machinery and production processes.
Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting, moving, and handling materials throughout the shift.
Background in general labor, production, or assembly work.
Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively in a fast-paced production setting.
Attention to detail when handling materials, packing products, and supporting inventory-related tasks.
Previous experience in material handling and packing in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with basic machine operation and monitoring in a production setting.
Ability to work collaboratively with a production team and take direction well.
Willingness to learn new tasks and adapt to changing production needs.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ellijay, GA.
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $18.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job‑related factors.
