Job summary

Pro-Active Engineering, a leader in PCB assembly, is seeking a General Production Operator for the 2nd shift (4:15pm–2:45am). Tasks include general assembly of printed circuit boards, hand insertion of components, testing, box build, and cleaning, following IPC Class 2 standards.

The position requires adherence to ISO Quality Management System, safe work habits, accurate workmanship, and ability to read assembly documentation. Maintain clean, organized work area and prepare for the next shift.

Job description

Pro-Active Engineering, a leader in Printed Circuit Board assembly, has an opening for a General Production Operator on 2nd Shift. 2nd Shift works four (4) - ten (10) hour days; 2nd Shift hours are 4:15pm to 2:45am.

This position performs tasks involved in general assembly of printed circuit boards. This involves hand insertion of electronic components, trimming wires, clipping leads, programming and testing boards, box build assembly and printed circuit board cleaning. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Essential Functions

1. Adhere to the company's ISO Quality Management System.
2. Follow internal assembly process documentation ensuring product meets internal, customer, and regulatory requirements.
3. Separate printed circuit boards from production panels.
4. Manually insert through-hole components in accordance with IPC Class 2 Standards.
5. Prepare wires and leads through cutting, clipping, and tinning processes.
6. Prep raw components for secondary operations.
7. Hand washing of finished printed circuit board assemblies.
8. Properly label or mark circuit boards.
9. Keep an accurate count of product at your workstation while inspecting every piece for defects.
10. Glue, epoxy, mask and conformal coat circuit boards.
11. Program and functionally test circuit boards. Package and box assemblies as required for shipping.
12. Keep supplies stocked and preparing work area for the next shift.
13. Follow all safety rules, including wearing protective gear when required.
14. Ensure work area is kept clean and free of debris.
15. Ability to clean machines and production areas.
16. Adhere to established company policies and procedures paying special attention to safety regulations.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned
