General Production Operator performs tasks involved in general assembly of printed circuit boards. This includes hand insertion of electronic components, trimming wires, clipping leads, programming and testing boards, box build assembly and printed circuit board cleaning. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent (GED). Preferred: experience and ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Knowledge of electronic components and equipment. Knowledge of IPC.
Prolonged periods of sitting or standing. Physically able to work with hands, good dexterity with small parts and repetitive motion. Ability to see color and read small product labels. Ability to bend, kneel, etc. Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to working near moving mechanical parts and caustic fumes or airborne particles. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
