Job summary

GOEBEL FIXTURE COMPANY in Arden Hills, MN is seeking an experienced Electronics Technician to maintain and program surface mount equipment and to manage spare parts for factory machinery. The role requires a 2nd shift with training on first or mid shift.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's degree in electronics and at least three years in electronics manufacturing, with the ability to read schematics and lift up to 50 lbs. Comprehensive benefits are offered.

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read schematics and repair production machines.

Responsibilities

  • Program surface mount equipment (pick and place, AOI, reflow ovens, selective solder).
  • Maintain production equipment with scheduled and unscheduled servicing.
  • Repair production equipment and document maintenance.
  • Design solder stencils and fixtures for PCB assemblies.
  • Train production personnel on safe operation of equipment.
  • Oversee spare parts inventory and assist in capital equipment selection.

  • Base Pay $29.00 - $36.08 / Hour

This is a 2nd Shift position with hours from 2:45 PM - 11:15 PM M-F. Training for 2-3 months on first or mid shift.

Job Summary:

This position supports our Module Assembly and Test Department and is responsible for maintaining the assembly equipment, including programming surface mount equipment, performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, overseeing the spare parts inventory for the equipment, designing solder stencils and fixtures and training production personnel.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Program various pieces of surface mount equipment for use by production assemblers (pick and place, automated optical inspection, reflow ovens, and selective solder machines).
  • Perform and document scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on production equipment.
  • Perform and document moderately complex repairs on production equipment.
  • Design solder stencils for production of PCB assemblies.
  • Design various fixtures for production of PCB assemblies.
  • Train Production personnel on safe and effective operation of production equipment.
  • Oversee the ordering, control, and upkeep of spare parts inventory for factory equipment.
  • Assist in selection and installation of new capital equipment for use in production.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree in Electronics, Electronic Technology, or Electro-Mechanical Technology. Equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
  • Minimum 3 years of job experience within an electronics manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to maintain and repair a variety of complex production machines.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics.
  • Ability to work effectively with others.
  • Ability to multitask between multiple priorities.
  • Ability to show initiative and work with limited direct supervision.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with programming and operation of surface mount assembly equipment. (printers, pick and place, reflow ovens).
  • Working knowledge of electronics and electronics manufacturing.
  • Experience in IPC-A-610.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Office suite.

  • May be exposed to moderate - high noise levels for short amounts of time. Noise levels average around 60 decibels and intermittently reach 90 decibels when working near large machinery (hearing protection required).
