Job summary

La-Z-Boy Incorporated is seeking a metal fabrication assembler to work either independently or in a team in a base manufacturing environment. The role involves fabricating metal components, operating presses, loading dies, and maintaining equipment to meet strict quality standards.

The candidate should have basic reading/writing/math skills, the ability to read print specifications, and be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Prior experience with measuring tools and basic computer tasks is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal material according to quality requirements.
• Operate press and perform machine maintenance to maximize yields.
• Load die and set up the machine, adjust for each job.
• Keep moving parts lubricated and clean equipment regularly.
• Operate forklift or pallet jack to move materials as needed.
• Inspect work visually against quality standards.
• Rework non-conforming parts and control waste.
• Follow health and safety standards and maintain a clean area.
