Job summary

Johns Manville is seeking a General Operator at its Richmond, IN insulation facility to operate the bagger equipment, ensuring safety and quality while maximizing production output. The role involves following established procedures and working under supervision on 8-hour shifts.

Starting pay is $20.73 per hour with an additional $0.50–$0.75 per hour shift differential for hours between 3 pm and 7 am; comprehensive benefits, paid vacation and holidays, and retirement plans are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read and understand written instructions, policies and procedures.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to change.
• Pays attention to details and communicates well.

Responsibilities

• Advocates and follows safe work practices; reports hazards and wears protective clothing.
• Cleans work areas and equipment; keeps the area neat and orderly.
• Monitors equipment and takes corrective action when problems are detected.
• Assists with outage work and downtime maintenance activities.
• Trains less experienced personnel as needed.
• Performs janitorial duties and general facility cleanup.
