Job summary

Johns Manville in Michigan is seeking an Operator to support production, focusing on safety, quality, and the JM experience. This position is part of the Pay for Skills program and progression toward Operator 1, with responsibilities including shift coverage, reporting, and adherence to SOPs.

The role requires the ability to read tape measures, perform basic math, and use a computer for routine tasks, along with strong communication and the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Must be able to accurately read a tape measure, work instruction, finished product specifications.
• Have general math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and percentages).
• Beginner to intermediate computer skills (Microsoft office).
• Solid Communication Skills (written/verbal).
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Johns Manville safety procedures and policies
• Relieve other employees as directed
• Maintain communication to ensure quality product is being made
• Maintaining daily housekeeping requirements
• Follow JSA/SOP’s
• Wear proper clothing and PPE as required
• Complete all training and meetings
• Understand and use all appropriate checks and checklists
• Complete production reporting
