Job summary

Meijer is seeking an entry-level Stocking Clerk to ensure shelves are stocked and ready for customers. The role emphasizes delivering friendly service, maintaining a clean store, and supporting merchandising tasks nightly to prepare for the day.

The position supports teamwork and uses basic technology, with opportunities for growth and development within a family-oriented retailer.

Qualifications

• Comfortable learning and using basic technology.
• Able to follow processes and procedures in an organized, efficient way.
• Calm and productive in a fast-paced environment.
• Enjoy being part of a team and supporting shared goals.
• Experience with pallet jacks or forklifts is a plus.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Stock shelves with a variety of food and grocery products.
• Move products from pallets or carts to correct shelf locations efficiently.
• Pull backstock and dispose of cardboard and trash in back-room areas.
• Work with leadership to ensure areas are completed on time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
• Provide friendly, respectful interactions with customers when needed.
• Work overnight shifts to prepare the store for the day ahead.
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
