Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Team Leader to drive guest experience and store operations. This role leads hourly team members, coordinates daily workflows, and ensures merchandise is stocked, accurately priced, and presented on the sales floor.

The position emphasizes coaching, performance management, and collaboration with store leadership to meet sales goals while maintaining a safe, compliant, and guest-ready environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous retail experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead and coach a team to deliver guest experiences and sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver consistent guest experience commitments and champion a guest-first culture.
• Train, develop, and coach hourly team members to improve performance.
• Plan department workload and assign tasks to meet business priorities.
• Support process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency in GM operations.
• Lead daily/weekly tasks to achieve sales goals and maintain stocked, accurately priced merchandise.
