Job summary

Target is seeking a General Merchandise Expert to help create an easy, inspiring guest experience in our Reston, VA store. You will greet guests, help them locate products and resolve questions while supporting daily operations.

Ideal candidates enjoy interacting with guests, thrive in a busy retail setting, and can handle varying shifts, including nights and weekends. You will participate in restocking, shelf upkeep, pricing and basic backroom tasks to ensure product availability.

Qualifications

• Guest service fundamentals and experience supporting a guest-first culture across the store.
• Experience in retail business fundamentals, including department sales trends, inventory replenishment, and process efficiency and improvement.
• Executing daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver on sales goals.

Responsibilities

• Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by greeting guests and helping them find what they need.
• Assist guests with inquiries, resolve issues and ensure a smooth, enjoyable shopping experience.
• Support team efforts, help peers and maintain a positive, respectful attitude.
• Execute daily tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing backrooms and setting up merchandise signs.
• Operate power equipment if certified and follow safety procedures in all store areas.
• Learn store procedures for inventory management, product placement and pricing to support store profitability.
