Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible General Medicine Physician to perform disability evaluations and comprehensive medical examinations without ongoing patient care responsibilities. A flexible schedule is offered with options for full-time, part-time, or PRN work.

This role necessitates strong clinical assessment skills and adherence to VA guidelines. The position does not involve prescribing medications or managing ongoing patient treatments.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted MD, DO license required.
• Experience with occupational medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or primary care is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records before evaluations.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs).
• Document findings clearly and objectively.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines and regulations.
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely evaluations.
