Job summary

DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations and comprehensive medical reviews. You will complete DBQs and associated reports, documenting findings clearly within set timelines.

Ideal candidates hold board certification/eligibility in General Medicine, possess an active unrestricted MD/DO license, and can collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations. No ongoing patient management or prescribing is required.

Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible General Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
• Active, unrestricted MD, DO license
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Experience with disability evaluations, occupational medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, emergency medicine, or primary care is preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records and relevant documentation before each evaluation.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
• Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
