Job summary
DirectShifts is seeking a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations, review veterans' medical records, and complete DBQs with precision. No prescribing or ongoing patient care is required.
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive General Medicine exams, documenting findings clearly, and ensuring timely completion of reports while maintaining VA/HIPAA compliance. Flexible scheduling options are available: Full-Time, Part-Time, or PRN.
Qualifications
- Board certification or eligibility in General Medicine (MD/DO).
- Active, unrestricted MD or DO license.
- Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.
- Experience with disability evaluations or related fields preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform VA C&P disability examinations.
- Review Veterans' medical records before each evaluation.
- Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
- Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
- Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
- Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable regulations.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely evaluations.
