Job summary

DirectShifts seeks a General Medicine physician to perform VA C&P disability examinations, review medical records, and complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs). There is no prescribing, treatment planning, or ongoing patient care required.

The role requires an MD or DO with board eligibility, an active license, and strong documentation skills. Experience with disability evaluations is preferred; flexible full-time, part-time, or PRN schedules are available.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or board-eligible General Medicine physician (MD/DO).
• Active, unrestricted MD/DO license.
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform VA Compensation & Pension (C&P) disability examinations.
• Review Veterans' medical records and relevant documentation before each evaluation.
• Conduct comprehensive General Medicine examinations.
• Accurately complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) and required reports.
• Document findings clearly, objectively, and within established timelines.
• Maintain compliance with VA guidelines, HIPAA, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely completion of evaluations.
