Job summary

Flik Hospitality Group in Wilmington, DE is seeking a General Manager to maintain client-approved budgets and foster strong relationships with staff, guests and the client. You will drive professional growth across the team and integrate dining services with facility operations.

You will lead with financial acumen, manage budgets, and oversee purchasing, menus, and HACCP compliance to ensure quality and safety. This role demands strong leadership and exemplary customer service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum eight to ten years upscale food service experience, including six years in management.
• Experience in personnel management including hiring, supervision, evaluation and succession planning.
• Proven track record to achieve company goals in compliance with policies and procedures.
• Excellent leadership and organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Supervisory, scheduling, training and coaching abilities.
• Strong problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Experience in food purchasing, costs and inventory control; budgeting & forecasting.
• Knowledge of HACCP controls and safe food handling.

Responsibilities

• Participates in employee meetings, reviews and training programs.
• Manages in compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
• Maintains food cost while ensuring quality standards.
• Establishes rapport with staff, client and guest and other departments.
• Manages financials including P&L, budgets and cash handling.
• Analyzes trends for financial data and forecasts.
• Oversees purchasing and inventory controls.
• Plans menus in consultation with chefs.
• Ensures HACCP controls and proper storage and use of food.
