Job summary

i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a General Manager for the Ruby Hill site near Eureka, NV to lead the Archimedes Underground Mine from development to production. You will oversee project schedules, safety, contract management, and community relations while coordinating with the Mineral Point and other operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of underground mining experience with 5+ years in supervisory roles.
• Experience in interfacing with MSHA, BLM, NDEP or similar regulatory bodies.
• Proven success in managing mining and construction contracts.
• Strong safety and environmental leadership.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and environmental stewardship for the mine site.
• Own and execute project development and production schedules.
• Develop RFPs, analyze bids and select contractors with multidisciplinary teams.
• Manage i80 and contract employees for safe and efficient work completion.
• Lead underground contractor performance in collaboration with operations leadership.
• Build and lead a technical and support team for the underground project.
• Support surface operations to back the underground and heap leaching ops.
• Collaborate with regulators and government entities to advance the project.
• Lead budgeting and forecasting for the site.
• Frequent coordination with technical, executive, and financial staff.
