Job summary

i-80 Gold Corp is seeking a motivated Mining Engineer for the Archimedes Underground Mine near Eureka, NV. This role supports permitting, construction, exploration, and production, with potential use of a company vehicle based on residency.

Responsibilities include safety leadership, coordinating with regulators, developing schedules, and ensuring compliance with ground support and ventilation standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mine or Geological Engineering or a related discipline.
• Two or more years of engineering experience in underground.
• Proficiency with mine design software such as MineSite, Vulcan-Maptek, iGantt-Minemax or similar.
• Demonstrated knowledge of mining and processing operations.
• Willingness to travel within Nevada for business purposes.

Responsibilities

• Champion safety and environmental stewardship for the project.
• Ensure contractors and visitors are oriented and work safely.
• Coordinate with regulatory bodies (MSHA, BLM, NDEP, etc.) to advance the project.
• Support the existing and growing workforce for the underground project.
• Lead forecasting for the underground project in collaboration with site and management.
• Own and execute the underground development schedule.
• Monitor ground support, ventilation, and design standards for compliance.
• Perform reconciliation of planned design vs actuals.
• Track relevant KPI's.
• Interact with i-80 technical, executive, and financial staff.
• Represent i-80 and community commitments.
