Job summary

Worldwide Equipment Sales in Rockdale, IL, seeks a hands-on General Manager to lead tow truck and heavy equipment operations. You will own day-to-day performance, develop a strong team, build lasting customer relationships, and balance immediate execution with strategic growth.

You will oversee sales, customer experience, employees, operations, and financial performance; stay visible in the business, set clear expectations, coach managers, and drive improvements across processes and service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive management or operational leadership experience.
• Experience leading employees, setting expectations, and managing performance.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proven ability to prioritize, solve problems, and follow through.
• Strong business judgment and results-oriented mindset.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and ability to learn business systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Rockdale Operation: oversee day-to-day operations, establish goals, maintain visible leadership, improve processes and efficiency.
• Develop sales goals, forecasts, and strategies to support business growth; review sales activity and pursue new opportunities; participate in sales when needed.
• Lead and develop the team: coach, motivate, set expectations, and collaborate with People Operations on recruitment and development.
• Manage business performance: monitor results, expenses, resources, and profitability; balance customer needs with priorities; drive issue resolution.
• Maintain operational standards: ensure compliance with policies, promote safe and ethical practices, drive continuous improvement in customer experience and teamwork.
