Job summary

Whistling Kettle is seeking a General Manager to support owners and the kitchen manager in daily restaurant operations. You will supervise front-of-house staff, ensure guest satisfaction, and maintain service standards across food, beverage, and safety protocols.

The role emphasizes leadership, scheduling, and awareness of health/sanitation guidelines, with a focus on achieving growth in sales and guest loyalty through exceptional service.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant/hospitality management experience including hiring, firing, scheduling and reporting.
• Must be available on weekends and able to travel to other locations.
• Able to read POS screens, emails, spreadsheets and basic office functions.
• Demonstrates leadership, professionalism, and strong guest service focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day front-of-house operations during shifts.
• Supervise hourly team (tea tenders, greeters, bussers, cashiers) and schedule weekly staffing.
• Provide coaching and progressive discipline when needed.
• Ensure cleanliness, sanitation and safety standards are met.
• Open and close the store with appropriate procedures.
