Job summary

U-Haul is seeking a responsible, motivated General Manager to oversee a moving and storage center. You will manage staff, inventory, and equipment to keep the center profitable and efficient.

The role involves solving problems, achieving customer care standards, and delivering strong results in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities include fleet management, P&L analyses, hiring and mentoring staff, inventory tracking, budgeting, and upholding safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or service industries with financial responsibility.
• Proven ability to manage complex schedules and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean, well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Clean and monitor the premises and maintain a secure environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
