Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Port Reading, NJ, seeks a General Manager to lead a designated operation, ensuring safe, compliant, and profitable performance while guiding strategic direction and client negotiations.

The GM will drive Lean/Six Sigma initiatives, manage budgets, foster vendor relations, and mentor staff to align with corporate mission and values, delivering exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 7 years’ experience in logistics/distribution environment.
• 5 years’ leadership experience in logistics/supply chain operations.
• Ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.

Responsibilities

• Ensures systems for safe and profitable operations in accordance with policies.
• Leads the operation to meet productivity and service goals and client terms.
• Develops and maintains productive vendor and client relationships.
• Develops and manages annual operating budgets.
• Oversees safety and security of the operation.
• Mentors staff and supports leadership development at the site.
