Job summary

Naniq Global Logistics seeks a highly motivated General Manager to lead the Amazon Gateway operation in Lihue, Kauai. The role focuses on developing teams, optimizing operations, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will oversee ground handling for Boeing 767 cargo, schedule and coordinate with USPS DDUs, and ensure regulatory compliance, safety, and client performance metrics while supporting a 7-day operation with late-evening to early-morning hours.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of leadership experience in logistics, transportation, warehouse operations, aviation, supply chain, or operations management.
• Strong background in operations management, logistics, transportation management, warehouse operations, or aviation ground handling.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, develop, and motivate high-performing teams.
• Experience with employee relations, workforce planning, performance management, and staffing coordination.
• Knowledge of package sortation, trucking operations, cargo handling, and distribution processes.
• Strong understanding of TSA, DOT, regulatory compliance, workplace safety, and security procedures.
• Excellent customer service, communication, and relationship management skills.
• Exceptional organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with reporting, analytics, payroll, timekeeping systems, and operational metrics.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of air cargo handling, package sortation, and linehaul transportation operations.
• Ensure achievement of customer service standards, operational KPIs, and contractual requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, productivity, and operational performance.
• Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability for supervisors and operational personnel.
• Partner with subcontractors and internal stakeholders to ensure adequate staffing and workforce readiness.
• Support recruiting, hiring, onboarding, training, and employee development.
