Sloomoo Institute in Boston is seeking an energetic General Manager to lead the launch and daily operations of our new location, directing a 40+ staff to deliver an exceptional guest experience while overseeing slime production and operations.

The role requires P&L ownership, budgeting, and cross-functional leadership across operations, retail, and production. A bachelor’s degree in hospitality or related field, strong budgeting, communication, and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration, or related field.
• Experience in operational management within a guest-facing operation.
• Budgetary and line management experience.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly and approachable manner with staff.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key consultants and contractors.
• Energetic, perceptive, confident problem solver with a good sense of humor.
• Minimum age: 18 years.

Responsibilities

• Full P&L responsibility.
• Develop and manage multi-million-dollar budget, forecast and profitability.
• Manage floor manager, production, retail store manager, and staff.
• Manage procurement and inventory.
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure staff are following all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Maintain brand integrity throughout the experience.
• Provide leadership and line management to the Sloomoo Inc. team, ensuring staffing is planned for new developments.
• Support all operational departments to review practices and improve safety and efficiency.
• Maximize guest admissions income from forecasts and budgets.
• Control labor spend to meet targets.
• Deliver a world class guest experience with strong staff retention and promotion.
