Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning seeks a General Manager I to drive short- to mid-term goals within the Field Management department. You will report to a director and oversee managers, supervisors, and individual contributors to align operations with financial and service targets.

The role emphasizes profitability analysis, payroll accuracy, customer communications, sales leadership, employee development, HR governance, and adherence to safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• BS or BA Degree in Business Administration or Operations preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in HVAC or similar customer service focused industries (preferred).
• Ability to utilize basic computer applications (databases, spreadsheets, word processing).

Responsibilities

• Analyze operating statement for the center and departments and take appropriate action.
• Prepare/review the GM report and take appropriate action.
• Analyze determinants of profitability and take actions to adjust.
• Ensure employee payroll processes are accurate and on time.
• Apply appropriate accounting control principles (A/R, A/P, payroll, etc.).
• Plan/set/achieve sales goals; coach salespeople.
• Ensure effective customer communications.
• Utilize features and benefits of key products & services to drive value proposition.
• Support HR standards and conduct performance appraisals.
• Develop employees and seek promotional opportunities.
• Utilize established Vendor Programs whenever appropriate.
• Adhere to government safety guidelines and assure proper procedures for accidents, fire, and emergencies.
