Job summary

Makers Social in Columbus, OH is seeking a General Bar Manager to lead day-to-day operations, uphold our culture of integrity and inclusion, and drive exceptional customer experiences.

You will manage a team of ~20, handle scheduling, payroll, HR, events, and budgets, and grow the business through sales initiatives and partnerships, including coordinating special events and private functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or similar field.
• ServSafe certification.
• 2+ years of restaurant, bar, or hospitality management experience.
• Experience in high-volume restaurant/bar operations.
• Based in Columbus, Ohio.
• Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Managing our team of ~20 part-time employees.
• Handle day-to-day administrative tasks including scheduling, payroll, HR, events, training, purchasing, and expensing.
• Managing marketing team and advertising plans.
• Managing company budget, tracking expenses, and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Carrying out direct sales tactics, social networking, and representing the company based on our values.
• Coordinating, planning, and executing special events and collaborations with local businesses and artists.
• Responds to customer inquiries via telephone and email, including reservations and private events.
