Job summary

Surge Staffing is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead a restaurant team in Columbus, Ohio. You will own the location’s profit and loss, oversee food and labor costs, and drive guest satisfaction through hands-on leadership and real-time coaching.

This role requires 3+ years of restaurant management, bilingual Spanish/English, and a track record of developing Assistant GMs, Shift Managers, and Supervisors.

Qualifications

• Fluent in Spanish and English.
• 3+ years of restaurant management experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
• Experience managing restaurant operations, labor, food costs, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Own the location's profit and loss.
• Manage food costs, labor costs, and operating expenses while driving sales growth.
• Hire, train, and develop Assistant General Managers, Shift Managers, and Supervisors.
• Maintain a strong management team and develop internal talent.
• Ensure a high-quality guest experience through floor presence, table visits, and real-time coaching.
• Create weekly labor schedules based on forecasted business volume and staffing needs.
• Conduct weekly and monthly food and beverage inventories and identify waste or shrinkage; maintain compliance with health codes, liquor license requirements, and employment laws.
• Respond to guest feedback and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Partner with marketing and operations leadership on promotions, menu rollouts, and local store marketing.
• Lead team meetings and conduct individual coaching and performance conversations.
• Manage vendor relationships, approve invoices, and maintain purchasing within budget.
