Job summary

The Columbus Museum of Art's CMA at The Pizzuti in the Short North Arts District seeks a Bar Room Manager to lead the café and bar operations, delivering an exceptional beverage program and guest experience.

You will recruit, train, and supervise front-of-house staff; manage inventory and costs; ensure safety, cleanliness, and compliance; and collaborate with the Deputy Director for Operations to uphold CMA standards.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years of progressive hospitality experience, with leadership preferred.
• Opened and managed café or bar operations, ensuring readiness and smooth daily flow.
• In-depth knowledge of cocktails, espresso, and barista techniques with commitment to quality.
• Proven ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays as needed.
• Must meet minimum legal age requirements for alcohol service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily Café and Bar operations including opening/closing procedures, service flow, cleanliness, and cash handling.
• Prepare and serve espresso drinks, teas, cocktails, and food items while maintaining consistency and speed.
• Lead, train, and supervise front-of-house staff to ensure exceptional guest service and adherence to CMA standards.
• Manage inventory for beverages, food, and supplies using par levels.
• Ensure health, safety, and alcohol service law compliance.
• Handle scheduling & payroll timesheets for the Finance Department.
• Maintain equipment in coordination with the Deputy Director for Operations.
• Deliver an exceptional guest experience aligned with The Pizzuti’s programs.
• Monitor sales, labor, and cost of goods; produce reports and adjust operations to meet revenue goals.
