Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in Houston, TX is seeking a General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations, overseeing kitchen and Front of House to ensure an exceptional guest experience. You will guide the team, drive profitability, and uphold service standards across all areas.

You will train and coach staff, manage scheduling and labor costs, and ensure safety and compliance, while building community relations and maintaining a premier restaurant image.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of Restaurant General Management in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment with a focus on guest service.
• Ability to train and coach others on all aspects of the restaurant.
• Proven ability to drive hospitality and maintain service standards while controlling costs.
• Must be ServSafe certified and uphold all related guidelines.
• Availability to work an 8‑hour shift and up to 50 hours per week.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed financial and profitability goals.
• Adhere to standards to increase sales and minimize costs across food, beverage, supply, and labor.
• Complete invoices, reporting, and payroll tasks accurately and on time.
• Lead facility operations while upholding standards of excellence and hospitality.
• Respond to customer concerns and turn dissatisfied guests into return guests.
• Ensure safety, sanitation, and compliance with laws and company policies.
• Schedule staffing and manage shifts to ensure coverage.
• Direct hiring, supervision, and ongoing staff development.
• Provide orientation and training, and conduct annual performance reviews.
