Job summary

Common Bond Bistro & Bakery in Houston, TX is seeking a Front-of-House Supervisor to support the General Manager in delivering warm, efficient service. You will greet guests, supervise the front-of-house, ensure menu knowledge, and uphold our high hospitality standards.

You will coach team members, handle guest concerns professionally, maintain sanitation and cleanliness, and help with daily operations, including timely delivery of food and beverages.

Qualifications

• Ability to learn quickly and follow redirection as needed.
• Food handler certification and compliance with health codes.
• Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork abilities.
• Able to build and maintain relationships with guests and colleagues.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs as part of duties.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a friendly, welcoming demeanor and identify guest needs.
• Maintain complete knowledge of baked goods and the menu.
• Supervise the front-of-house and uphold hospitality standards.
• Address guest complaints professionally and turn dissatisfaction into loyalty.
• Inform GM of shortages and help manage inventory and operations.
• Ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and safety in line with policies.
• Oversee proper food and beverage service and timely delivery to tables.
• Develop staff through feedback and performance expectations.
• Flexibly cover shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
