  • Manage vendors and contractors, ensuring quality work and contract compliance.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, review invoices, and provide reports to the Board and management.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, the Board, employees, vendors, owners, and stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and district policies; oversee emergency preparedness and 24/7 availability.

Job Summary

Responsible for the overall management includes daily operations, facilities, amenities, maintenance programs, staff, vendors, and contractors. The General Manager provides strong leadership, manages budgets and operations, supports property and facility improvements, and ensures high-quality service, safety, compliance, and resident satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily operations, including maintenance, facilities, amenities, landscaping, and property services, ensuring everything is safe, clean, operational, and well-maintained.
  • Lead, train, supervise, and develop staff while promoting teamwork, accountability, and excellent customer service.
  • Manage vendors and contractors, including landscaping, pool services, janitorial, security, lifeguards, and other service providers, ensuring quality work and contract compliance.
  • Manage budgets, monitor expenses, review invoices, oversee contracts, and provide financial and operational reports to the Board and management.
  • Oversee preventative maintenance, capital improvement projects, facility upgrades, and operational improvements while coordinating with other departments and service providers.
  • Maintain strong relationships with residents, the Board, employees, vendors, owners, and other stakeholders while responding to questions, concerns, and service requests.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and District policies, oversee emergency preparedness, and respond to emergencies as required, including 24/7 availability.
Qualifications & Skills
  • 5+ years of experience in community management, property management, facilities, parks, hospitality, commercial real estate, or a related field.
  • Experience managing employees, managers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, expense management, and contracts.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple departments, projects, and priorities.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance, property operations, and customer service.
  • Knowledge of Florida public facility and pool regulations is preferred.
  • Experience with capital improvements, preventative maintenance, or construction projects is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn maintenance and work-order software.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with residents, employees, vendors, Board members, owners, and business partners.
