Position: General Manager
Summary: Manages all functions of the restaurant to ensure customer service and high-quality products are delivered, and maintains restaurant profitability. Responsible for executing fast and accurate sandwich preparation, world-class customer service, and maintaining a clean, organized shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manages a staff of 3 Assistant Managers and approximately 25-30 employees, overseeing work compliance.
- Handles hiring, training, evaluating, disciplining, and terminating employees.
- Provides on-the-job training for new employees.
- Delegates and is responsible for ordering, receipt, storage, and issuing of all food, labor, equipment, cleaning, and paper supplies to minimize waste and theft.
- Assists in food supervision, preparation, sales, and service.
- Forecasts food needs per shift.
- Supervises food preparation and service, especially during rush periods.
- Assists with customer greeting, order taking, cashiering, and order assembly.
- Ensures world-class customer service for every customer.
- Routes deliveries and supervises drivers to maximize efficiency.
- Completes daily food preparations and opening procedures.
- Executes systems and procedures with integrity and completeness.
- Prepares accurate daily, weekly, and periodic paperwork.
- Controls inventory using weekly systems and maintains regular ordering schedules.
- Conducts weekly manager meetings.
- Audits systems, procedures, and shift paperwork.
- Performs preventative maintenance on store equipment and supplies.
- Responsible for cash drawer management, deposits, and change orders.
- Possesses strong communication skills in English and math skills including fractions and percentages.
- Able to use computers and software like Excel and Word.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks as needed.
- Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends; must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
