Job summary

Smurfit Westrock seeks a General Manager for Beverage Packaging Systems in Smyrna, GA to drive the performance and profitability of the BPSA facility. You will oversee engineering, procurement, assembly, testing, and field service while aligning resources to deliver high-quality packaging machinery on time and within budget.

You will lead cross-functional teams across North America, manage capital and operating budgets, and liaise with customers on FAT/SAT activities and technical sales

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar technical field.
• 15+ years of management and leadership experience in a manufacturing facility.
• Strong technical background in high-speed machinery.
• Proven budget and financial management experience.
• Excellent strategic planning, analytical, and communication skills.
• Up to 20% travel (domestic and international).

Responsibilities

• Lead NA Machinery Operations and Service organizations across functions to drive innovation and operational excellence.
• Oversee Spare Parts organization, inventory management, and global logistics.
• Ensure on-time delivery of packaging machines within budget with impeccable quality.
• Align resources with the company's innovation framework for optimized solutions.
• Provide P&L ownership and leadership of on-site staff and partners.
• Engage with customers to support technical sales activities and FAT/SAT.
