Job summary

Panera Bread is seeking a General Manager to lead a high-performing bakery-cafe team and own overall operations. You will drive staffing, scheduling, coaching, and development to deliver exceptional guest experiences and strong financial results.

This role requires continuous motivation, hands-on leadership, and a passion for Panera’s guiding values. Flexible hours, including nights and weekends, are expected to ensure smooth shifts and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant General Manager experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Background check required.
• Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Own all aspects of leading the bakery-cafe team including staffing, scheduling, people development, performance management and training.
• Hire, onboard, and train new team members, while motivating and celebrating the entire team.
• Manage team performance to meet goals, uphold quality standards and extraordinary guest service.
• Develop managers on people processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Ensure bakery-cafe adheres to policies, procedures, and health and safety standards.
• Maintain bakery-cafe costs and inventory while driving business results.
