Job description:

The General Manager is responsible for the operational and organizational standards of the store, while selling and managing a team. Your duties will include undertaking administrative tasks, monitoring inventory levels, and developing business strategies to meet monthly sales targets. In addition to being an excellent communicator, you should also demonstrate outstanding leadership and interpersonal skills with your team.

Responsibilities
  • Exemplify excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Motivate the sales team to meet sales objectives
  • Self-source new clients and maintain steady marketing outreach to drive new business
  • Create business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability
  • Recruit and oversee new staff when needed
  • Provide ongoing training and development for store staff
  • Respond to high-level customer inquiries/concerns professionally
  • Ensure store compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Lead distribution of promotional material, in-store displays, and presentation of current merchandise according to brand standards
  • Monitor inventory levels and order new items
  • Partner with the Director of Sales to implement sales initiatives and new product launches
  • Define and implement sales standard operating procedures
  • Develop vendor relationships to support store operations with products and training
  • Participate in and delegate store operational duties
  • Manage inventory and ensure proper scheduling of store coverage
Requirements
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role
  • Strong leadership and customer management abilities
  • Highly driven and motivated with a proven sales track record
  • Customer service-oriented with knowledge of basic business management processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
