Job Description

As a SONIC Drive-In restaurant General Manager, you are indeed a general—leading your team in a continuous effort to provide America with an exceptionally delicious food service experience. You will be involved in training and supporting drive-in restaurant employees, ensuring that food is delivered in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, and that our customers have an excellent experience.

General Manager is generally a full-time opportunity and offers excellent benefits.

Prior experience as a restaurant general manager, catering manager, operations manager, supervisor, shift lead, or restaurant assistant general manager is very helpful for success in this role.

Requirements/Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

1. Manage, train, monitor, and coach crew/team members, carhops, and skating carhops.
2. Direct and assign drive-in restaurant employees as needed to ensure all aspects of food service meet operational standards.
3. Adhere to and monitor employee compliance with the drive-in employee handbook, policies, and practices.
4. Perform restaurant opening and/or closing duties.
5. Prepare employee work schedules; monitor and adjust restaurant staffing levels accordingly.
6. Monitor and maintain restaurant inventory levels; place orders for food, paper, and other supplies within cost control procedures.
7. Complete and maintain all employment-related records and payroll records.
8. Reinforce a customer service mentality and ensure all employees focus on serving the customer at all times.
9. Immediately and respectfully resolve guest requests; report guest complaints to the supervisor and assist in resolving them.
10. Interview and hire restaurant crew and management team members to achieve proper staffing levels.
11. Prepare operational reports and develop action plans to address unfavorable financial or sales trends.
12. Develop and implement marketing plans.

Note: This is generally a full-time position with excellent benefits. Prior experience in related management roles is highly beneficial.
