Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a General Manager in Perrysburg, OH to lead club operations and deliver a top-tier, judgement-free member experience. You will drive service excellence, manage staff, and ensure profitability while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for every member.

Lead the team to achieve goals, oversee staffing, training, and promotions, and uphold Planet Fitness standards across the club’s operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or service operations is preferred.
• Strong leadership and staff development skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire operation and management of the Club to ensure a positive member experience and operational excellence.
• Create a welcoming Member Services environment and ensure service excellence.
• Interview, hire, and train new staff.
• Ensure proper staffing and coverage based on business needs.
• Conduct evaluations and performance reviews for all staff.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and orderly club.
• Protect profitability and financial success of the club.
• Ensure employee and member safety across the club premises.
• Handle timecard administration and adherence to Planet Fitness pay guidelines.
• Train staff on local and national promotions.

• The General Manager is responsible for the entire operation and management of the Club, ensuring positive member experience, teamwork, and operational excellence.
• The General Manager always ensures excellence in Member Services by creating a welcoming environment.
• Interview, hire, and train new staff.
• Ensures proper staffing and coverage in the club based on business needs.
• Conducts all evaluations and performance reviews for all staff in the club.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and orderly club.
• Ensures club profitability and financial success.
• Ensures the safety and protection of the employees and members in the club and the entire club property.
• Handle timecard administration and properly follow all Planet Fitness policies and guidelines as they pertain to employee pay.
• Train staff on and execute local and national promotions.
