Job summary

Vertin is seeking a General Manager to oversee Mankato Area Funeral Homes, leading a group of locations in the Mankato area, developing staff, and driving growth while upholding a mission dating back to 1904.

You will spend about 60% of your time serving families as a licensed Funeral Director, with remaining focus on leading operations, coaching location managers, tracking performance, and building a strong community presence.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota Funeral Director / Mortician license, or dual licensure that supports Minnesota reciprocity eligibility
• 5+ years in funeral service with direct oversight of others
• Experience leading operations across multiple funeral home locations
• Ability to read financial reports and translate results into action
• Experience managing budgets and accountability for market share
• Strong communicator who builds trust at every level
• Experience building relationships in the local community
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) as required for licensure preferred
• Associate’s degree in Mortuary Science is a plus
