Job summary

Go Get Em Tiger Highland Park is seeking a General Manager to lead our core-volume coffee shop, driving year-over-year growth, managing costs, and building a strong team. You will oversee cafe and kitchen operations, schedule staff, and ensure exceptional hospitality.

The role requires 20+ hours on the floor weekly, weekend availability, and reliable transportation. A food safety manager certification is preferred or obtainable within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of proven management success in a high-volume and/or quality-driven food service environment.
• Experience in a high-volume specialty coffee setting is a plus.
• Experience with retail/food service financial reporting and P&L management.
• Must posses a food safety manager certification or be willing to attain one within the first 30 days of employment.
• Availability for weekend days and overall schedule availability.

Job Title: General ManagerLocation: Highland ParkClassification: Hourly, non OT-exemptReports to: VP of OperationsCompensation: $33.65 per hour (plus OT and incentive bonus)The General Manager - Core Volume (GM) is accountable for the success of a single core-volume GGET Coffee Shop. The GM is goaled with leading their assigned Coffee Shop to year-over-year growth in their gross receipts while managing costs by keeping appropriate inventory, limiting waste, and building effective schedules. They recruit and motivate high-performing teams by leading with empathy and regularly pulling feedback, while ensuring continued learning and development.The GM leads the Cafe Team, Kitchen Team, Shift Lead and Assistant Cafe Lead. They actively grow their bench of future leaders by instilling accountability and demonstrating resourcefulness. A GM at a core-volume coffee shop will be expected to lead by example and direction. They will typically spend 20+ hours per week working the floor, alongside their team. The GM must maintain availability to work both weekend days and occasionally holidays.
