Job summary

Quality Inn Jacksonville - Orange Park near Naval Air Station Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Hotel General Manager to lead operations, drive profitability, and uphold guest satisfaction. This hands-on role requires proactive leadership, 24/7 availability, and a focus on safety, service standards, and staff development.

The GM will oversee payroll, training, and compliance while communicating priorities during shift changes and guiding department teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Hospitality coursework preferred.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Experience managing hotel staff is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Be on property during shift changes to communicate priorities and support the team.
• Lead daily check-ins with department teams and conduct training sessions to uphold service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise hotel staff to create a guest-focused team.
• Perform payroll, bank deposits, and complete operational checklists.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Demonstrate strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage teams effectively.

This hands-on leadership role requires a proactive, self-starting individual with 24/7 availability to ensure excellence across all departments.

• Be present on property during shift changes to communicate priorities and support the team.
• Conduct daily check-ins with department teams and lead training meetings to uphold service standards.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and licensing standards.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise hotel staff to create a high-performing, guest-focused team.
• Perform administrative duties, such as payroll, bank deposits, and completing operational checklists.
• Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to manage teams effectively.

Compensation
