Job summary

UPWARD PROJECTS is hiring a General Manager in Houston to drive guest-centric results, manage restaurant operations, and lead store leadership teams. You will own P&L, set goals, and partner with operations for sustained profitability.

You will recruit and develop staff, ensure brand standards, and promote local marketing while delivering exceptional guest experiences and teamwork across departments.

Qualifications

• 1 year of full-service restaurant General Manager experience or 3-5 years in service-management.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Hospitality, Management, or Business preferred.
• ServSafe and Responsible Alcohol Service Certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Coach, develop, and engineer high-performing store leadership teams.
• Attract, retain, and grow talent across all levels with performance reviews.
• Foster engagement through open communication and culture alignment.
• Lead store communication and ensure smooth adoption of changes.
• Uphold and coach teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
• Drive operational excellence by upholding brand standards and execution.
• Identify and resolve store challenges through cross-functional partnerships.

Requirements

• The position requires 1 year of full-service restaurant General Manager experience or 3-5 years of service industry management experience. Internal candidates must be in good standing and free of performance issues within a 1-year time-period. Combined work experience and education will be considered in decisions.
• Bachelor's or Associate's degree in Hospitality, Management, or Business preferred.
• Servsafe and Responsible Alcohol Service Certifications are required

Salary Description

$80,000 to $85,000 with 25% bonus potential
