You will oversee lodging, events, food and beverage, property operations, staffing, financial performance, and systems, with a focus on guest experience and sustainable growth.

We’re looking for an experienced, personable General Manager to take true ownership of the day-to-day operations at Beyul Retreat.

This is a senior leadership role for someone who knows how to run a complex hospitality business, lead a great team, make smart decisions, and keep both the guest experience and the business moving forward. You’ll oversee lodging, events, food and beverage, property operations, staffing, financial performance, and systems.

Beyul is not a traditional hotel, and we do not want it to become one. We’re looking for someone who can bring structure, accountability, and strong leadership while preserving the warmth, creativity, personality, and sense of community that make Beyul special.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced operator who can move comfortably between the big picture and the details. One day might involve reviewing a P&L or staffing plan, another might involve coaching a manager, resolving a guest issue, preparing for a wedding weekend, working through a property challenge, or improving a system that is not working.

The right person is confident and decisive, but also approachable, personable, and genuinely enjoys working with people. They know when to step in, when to delegate, and how to build a team where people feel supported, accountable, and proud of their work.

A primary goal of this role is for the General Manager to have true ownership of daily operations, allowing ownership to focus on long-term strategy, development, fundraising, permitting, and growth.

Beyul Retreat took over the historic Diamond J guest ranch outside of Aspen, CO in late 2020 and has transformed the century-old property into a hub of art, live music, wellness & outdoor adventure.
