Job summary

Falafel Inc in College Park, MD is hiring experienced General Managers to own the restaurant’s performance. You’ll lead the team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, maintain product quality, and drive profitable results with hands-on leadership from the floor.

You will hire, train, schedule, coach, and develop a strong restaurant staff, build future shift leaders, and control labor, food cost, waste, and inventory.

We are looking for operators who take ownership.

As General Manager, you are responsible for the entire restaurant — the people, the food, the guest experience, the numbers, and the standards.

Sales & Profitability

Understand your restaurant’s numbers and actively manage sales, labor, food cost, waste, inventory, and productivity.

• Build smart schedules based on sales and business needs while making sure the restaurant has the right people in the right positions.
• Inventory & Food Cost
• Own ordering, inventory, waste, portion control, and food-cost performance.
• Restaurant Standards
• Keep your restaurant clean, organized, stocked, and ready for business at all times.
• Accountability
• Set clear expectations for your team and follow through.

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of restaurant management experience
• Previous General Manager experience strongly preferred
• Fast-casual, QSR, or high-volume restaurant experience preferred
• Strong leadership and people-management skills
• Experience hiring, training, scheduling, and developing restaurant teams
• Understanding of labor, food cost, inventory, sales, and restaurant profitability
• Strong food safety and operational knowledge
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require
• Someone who takes ownership without needing to be constantly followed up with
