Wings Over in Carrboro, NC is seeking a General Manager to oversee and grow a quick-service restaurant. You will lead operations, manage staff, ensure food safety, and drive guest satisfaction.

The role requires proven management and restaurant experience, Serv-Safe certification, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Wings Over offers comprehensive benefits and opportunity for growth in a fast-paced team environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of management experience.
• Three years of food service experience; at least one year in fast-casual/QSR.
• Serv-Safe Certification required.
• Flexible schedule, nights, holidays, and weekends.
• Passionate about food and guest service.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand for prolonged periods.
• Legal US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Work with the team to fry chicken, greet guests, and uphold Wings Over standards.
• Lead with integrity and promote Wings Over culture and values.
• Oversee staffing, recruiting, scheduling, and on-the-job coaching.
• Analyze COGs, inventory, and labor to improve store performance.
• Ensure food safety by enforcing health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
• Deliver consistent product and service through training and feedback.
• Resolve conflicts promptly and fairly.
• Engage with the community through partnerships and events.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Day in the Life (includes, but is not limited to):

• Let’s get our hands dirty: Work side by side with the team frying chicken, greeting guests, and modeling Wings Over standards, values, and behaviors
• Manages with integrity, honesty, and knowledge that promotes the culture, values, and mission of Wings Over
• Monitors and manages store staffing levels, recruiting, and hiring using scheduling, coaching, and hands-on management to achieve operational excellence
• Analyzes reports such as COGs, inventory, and labor to identify and address trends and issues affecting in-store performance
• Ensures food safety by leading disciplined execution in FOH and BOH, following health, safety, and sanitation guidelines
• Serves a consistent product and service by providing proper team training and giving regular feedback
• Resolves conflicts promptly in a thoughtful, empathetic, and fair manner
• Participates in the community by identifying partnerships, joining community events, and engaging our neighbors
• Other related duties as assigned

What You Bring to the Table:

• Two (2) years of management experience
• Three (3) years of food service experience (line-level or management); At least one (1) of those years in fast-casual/QSR
• Serv-Safe Certification required
• Flexible schedule- available nights, holidays, and weekends
• Passionate about food and guest service
• Able to manage store operations independently
• Able to communicate clearly and concisely
• Able to appropriately handle confidential/sensitive information
• Proactive in identifying problems and implementing solutions
• Inspired to drive the growth of your team members and yourself
• Calm and collected in moments of pressure
• Flexible and open-minded: able to propose changes and implement new programs introduced by others or created in-house
• Able to lift 50 lbs. and can stand for prolonged periods of time
• Valid driver’s license and current insurance
• Legal US work authorization
