Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Bedford is seeking a General Manager to oversee daily operations, ensuring the school runs to Goldfish standard operating procedures.

You will coach and develop a 50-60 person team for strong performance and satisfaction; partner with Supervisors on student progress, scheduling staff, maintaining high customer satisfaction, maintaining safe pool operations; implementing and training the Emergency Action Plan (EAP); and managing payroll.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of management experience preferred.
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid training provided upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Directs and controls daily operations to ensure the school runs per Goldfish SOPs.
• Coaches and develops staff for high productivity and satisfaction.
• Grooms staff to provide superior swim instruction to students and families.
• Maintains safe pool operations and a high standard of safety.
• Leads EAP implementation and training of all staff on safety procedures.
• Schedules staff and manages payroll.
• Fulfills other duties as assigned by the Employer.

4. Has a high level of knowledge and experience in the Goldfish pool operations necessary to maintain a safe swim environment.
5. Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities ("Fun" Department) with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
6. Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the facility. Trains all current staff on the EAP.
7. Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
8. Schedules staff and manages payroll.
9. Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
