Job summary

Goldfish Swim School Bedford seeks a General Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure the facility runs in line with Goldfish SOPs. You will lead a 50–60 strong team, partner with Supervisors on student progress, and manage staff scheduling and payroll.

The role emphasizes maintaining high customer satisfaction, safe pool operations, EAP training, and delivering exceptional swim instruction to families served by Goldfish.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s desired
• 3–5 years management experience preferred
• Lifeguard, CPR/AED, First Aid training provided upon hire

Responsibilities

• Directs and controls daily operations to ensure the school is running per Goldfish standard operating procedures.
• Manages, coaches and develops the staff for high productivity, excellent performance and positive employee satisfaction.
• Trains and oversees team members to provide superior swim instruction to the students and families of Goldfish.
• Has a high level of knowledge and experience in the Goldfish pool operations necessary to maintain a safe swim environment.
• Initiates and oversees workplace employee activities ("Fun" Department) with the goal of achieving improved employee satisfaction.
• Directs and oversees the implementation of the Emergency Action Plan (EAP) and all safety procedures that pertain to the facility. Trains all current staff on the EAP.
• Maintains current certifications and stays up-to-date professionally on the aquatics and management field.
• Schedules staff and manages payroll.
• Fulfills other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Employer.
