Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and ensuring the restaurant meets McDonald’s critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. This includes setting the restaurant’s goals with leadership, creating a plan to achieve those goals, and coordinating with the Department Managers to set, monitor, and coach progress. The General Manager also hires and develops Department and Shift Managers, ensuring the team is ready to lead the restaurant into the future.

Additional Information

Pay rate: $50,000 – $65,000 for certified General Managers. This position is for a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not McDonald’s Corporation or McDonald’s USA, LLC. The independent franchisee exclusively handles all employment‑related matters, including hiring, discipline, supervision, staffing, and scheduling.
