  • Ensure exceptional guest service and promptly address guest concerns, complaints, and service recovery opportunities.
  • Maintain consistent compliance with Marriott brand standards, hotel policies, and operational procedures.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction scores, online reviews, quality assurance results, and other performance metrics to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work closely with Sales and Revenue Management to maximize occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, and overall hotel revenue.
  • Review financial statements, operating reports, forecasts, budgets, and other financial performance indicators.
  • Develop and execute strategies to improve profitability while maintaining appropriate service and quality standards.
  • Monitor departmental labor costs, staffing levels, productivity, and scheduling to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee purchasing, inventory management, expense control, and cost‑saving initiatives.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back‑of‑house areas, food and beverage outlets, and other hotel facilities.
  • Ensure the hotel maintains a clean, safe, well‑maintained, and welcoming environment for guests and associates.
  • Partner with Engineering and department leaders to address maintenance, preventative maintenance, and capital improvement needs.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, regulations, safety requirements, and hotel policies.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of hotel safety, security, emergency preparedness, and risk‑management procedures.
  • Ensure appropriate training, onboarding, and development programs are in place for all hotel associates.
  • Support recruitment and retention initiatives and maintain appropriate staffing levels throughout the hotel.
  • Conduct regular leadership meetings and hotel‑wide communication meetings to ensure alignment on goals, priorities, and operational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Catering, and Food & Beverage leadership to maximize group, banquet, and event opportunities.
  • Attend and participate in key operational meetings, including weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with guests, clients, vendors, community partners, ownership, and Marriott representatives.
  • Represent the hotel professionally within the local community and hospitality industry.
  • Monitor hotel reputation and develop strategies to strengthen the property's market position.
  • Identify opportunities to increase guest loyalty, repeat business, and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of required reports, audits, inspections, and operational documentation.
  • Lead the hotel through periods of high occupancy, special events, holidays, and other high‑volume business demands.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies and critical operational situations and ensure proper communication and follow‑up.
  • Support and participate in hotel sales, marketing, community, and promotional initiatives as needed.
