Job summary

Sheraton Galleria, Atlanta is seeking an Engineer to join our maintenance team in a newly renovated, vibrant environment. You will perform routine maintenance, troubleshoot HVAC/plumbing/electrical issues, and ensure guest comfort and safety.

As part of a dynamic hotel setting, you’ll collaborate with other departments, uphold safety standards, and respond promptly to guest requests, contributing to an exceptional stay for all guests.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall and some carpentry experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism.
• High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required.
• Previous experience in a hotel environment preferred.
• Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations.
• Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates.
• Flexible availability preferred.
• Additional language ability preferred.
• CPR and first aid training preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and prevent disruptions.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while handling tools and materials responsibly.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, ensuring maintenance issues are resolved efficiently to enhance their stay.
