Job summary

Sheraton Galleria, Atlanta is seeking an Engineer to join our freshly renovated hotel team. You will perform routine maintenance, respond to system issues, and ensure a safe, comfortable stay for guests.

The role requires HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall or carpentry experience, strong communication, and the ability to collaborate with other departments. High school diploma and relevant training preferred.

Qualifications

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall and some carpentry experience preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism
• Knowledge of applicable health, safety, and legal regulations
• Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel equipment, systems, and facilities
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems
• Conduct regular inspections to identify potential maintenance needs and prevent disruptions
• Work closely with other departments to address maintenance requests efficiently
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and hotel policies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while handling tools and materials responsibly
• Respond promptly to guest requests and concerns, ensuring maintenance issues are resolved efficiently to enhance their stay

Requirements

• HVAC, plumbing, electrical, drywall and some carpentry experience preferred


• Strong communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to handle difficult situations and maintain professionalism


• High school education preferred; relevant training and experience required


• Previous experience in a hotel environment preferred


• Knowledge of applicable Federal, state, and local health, safety, and legal regulations


• Ability to obtain required licenses and certificates


• Flexible availability preferred


• Additional language ability preferred


• CPR and first aid training preferred
